"A mentor has the ability to empower another person and reduce his or her capacity for passivity."

"Why Do We Need Mentors?"
To help our youth:

See themselves as worthwhile human beings.

Develop skills and abilities in a range of subjects.

Recognize their origin and cultural backgrounds as strengths and assets.

Attack meaningful tasks with the expectation of success.

Interact positively with other children, adults and their community.

Are you a positive role model in your community? If your answer is yes... WE NEED YOU! Another Way Out mentoring program provides mentoring for youth ages 8-18. We are looking for male and female role models to provide mentoring assistance to encourage mentees to develop socially, academically, and spiritually. We need role models that will broaden our youths perception of what life has to
offer by motivating them to:

Stay in school Resist negative peer pressure
Avoid teen parenthood Remain drug-free
Avoid violence Develop a positive self-image

AWO enhances mentee self-esteem and offers positive reinforcement upon their entrance into the work force and society. Join us in making a difference in the lives of today's youth. For more information about our program,
